Working by donation

When I first started offering my work as a breath kriya facilitator and yoga teacher I always worked by donation. I didn't want money to be a barrier restricting people in getting access to something that had transformed my life. As time has gone on I've been trying to find a fixed value, a figure that I can put on it charging a set fee for my work, but to date have not been able to find that figure.

This I believe is for two main reasons.

Firstly doing this work is invaluable and I feel a fixed price cannot be put on it, it's so personal and individual to us all. My work is to hold a safe space for self exploration, to share my experience of what I have found and remind people of what they can unlock in themselves. We all have different values on money, our relationship to our health and mental sanity. I could never put a value on someone else’s health. It’s up to each of us individually to decide how much we invest in both our time and money, also in how much effort we put into it. We all value money and our time differently, so for me its invaluable, indefinable, it's worth is down to each individual. We are all at different places in our lives, with different priorities in different financial positions and with what we want out of life. We all have different values!

The second key issue for me is exclusion. In today’s society it seems that money is causing so much division in the world for those that have it and those that don’t, becoming a barrier to many in excluding people from things they would love to experience. Looking into Constellation work has really helped me see how I became excluded within my own family system, something that I kept on repeating in my life. It was very painful and something that saddens me to see.

I want to make my work as accessible as possible to anyone who honestly wants to look at themselves, to share in the practices that have transformed my life in helping me to let go of the fears that have restricted me for so long. If someone is truly willing to look inside themselves to join me in the work, I am happy to offer it in exchange for whatever each individual can afford, and feels it is truly worth to them.

These practices have worked for me and continue to do so, they are invaluable for continued self study. How much is it worth to you?
